Isaac Kim is a well known tennis player in the Antelope Valley. At first glance, Isaac Kim does not seem like much of a threat, but his game speaks for itself. He is a huge competitor to opposing teams as soon as he steps on the court, hitting the ball with perfect topspin and accuracy. As the number one varsity singles player for the Quartz Hill Rebels, it is clear that Isaac Kim will dominate the Golden League for years to come.

Isaac Kim began the sport at a very young age, practicing at the courts near his home, day in and day out. At just seven years old, he began playing with older and experienced players in order to get an edge on the competition. Kim spoke about his start to tennis: “I began playing tennis because of my parents. They pushed me everyday to work hard, and I thank them for that. Without the help of my parents, I would not be the player I am today.”  

All of Kim’s hard work has brought him to the top of the Quartz Hill Rebel tennis team for another season. With another season ahead of him, he stated, “I feel confident in both myself and my teammates. Also, I’m predicting we go undefeated this year.” Although the tennis team recently embarked on a new season, Kim has seen a large amount of growth in his game and his teammates.

Kim spoke highly of the chemistry within the team: “I love it when I can have a bad game and know my teammates will pick up the slack, which makes it easier for me in all my games. They also make practice easier for me because these guys are hilarious and friendly. They make me really look forward to this season.”

Isaac Kim loves the fast pace action of the sport and how the game can turn to anyone’s favor at any given point.

He hopes to lead our team to win every game they possibly can this year. This tennis season is going to be crucial for Kim and his teammates, and it is clear that we will be seeing great things from Kim very soon.
