The Royals celebrated senior night with a big 22-0 win over Eastside High School Lions. The game was nothing short of boring with a mix of strong defense, smart offense, and teamwork. This gave the Royals a memorable victory in front of a home crowd.

Entering into this game, the Royals had a tough loss against Highland. It was their first time getting shut down all season. Not letting it get to them, Quartz Hill came ready to prove themselves. Eastside entered this game with confidence, having come back from a 27-0 win over Littlerock. The Lions hoped to pull an upset in this game, but the Royals had other plans.

Quartz Hill’s defense dominated their opponents, holding Eastside scoreless from start to finish. The Royals stopped multiple drives, forced turnovers, and shut down potential big plays. On offense, the team moved the ball efficiently with quick passes and fast running.

The seniors set the example as they represented calm leadership, guiding their younger teammates, and maintaining high energy throughout the game. After the match, the team gathered to celebrate with families and coaches. Then their speeches were announced, leaving many people emotional. Players and parents took many pictures, capturing their last moments on this field, filled with memories. 

The score 22-0 marked Quartz Hill’s sixth straight win over Eastside. The Royals once again proved why they are one of the area’s top programs. This game determined whether they would be able to tie for first place or secure second place in the League. But due to this flawless win, they were also placed first in Golden League. For both teams, they showed more than just football: they showed pride, teamwork, and the memories made under these lights. The Royals won their first round of CIF against Lancaster and are now advancing to round two.
