Holiday Activities

Do you get tired of binge watching the same show over and over? Are you searching for something to do within the next few weeks? There are many options from which the average student can choose to do over winter break, and here are six of those.

LPAC will be introducing The Nutcracker. This performance will be put on by Antelope Valley Ballet. The show will take place on December 10th at 2 P.M. and 7 P.M. and on December 11th at 2 P.M. You must purchase tickets ahead of time to ensure seating. Do not miss out on this annual production.

The Toys for Tots event is also taking place. Marines, recruiters and volunteers are working to provide presents for needy children. Every donation counts and provides a child with a Christmas present that they would not otherwise receive. There are many places to drop off a toy or you can donate on the Toys for Tots website. This is an amazing opportunity to give to children who are less fortunate this holiday season. Although this may not seem the most “fun,” it is certainly a great way to help out the community

The Boulevard is hosting Santa’s Village. You can meet Santa throughout December at the Boulevard Cinema. Photos are just ten dollars. On Thursdays this month, you can shop at the weekly Farmer’s Market where Santa and the Elves present live entertainment. The greatest attraction is not merely Santa, but the enjoyment of interacting with the A.V.’s society, so do not disregard it just because of anti-christmas sentiments.

The Boulevard is also introducing The Magical BLVD Christmas. This event will take place on Saturday, December 10th from 5 P.M. to 9 P.M. At this celebration, you can experience live entertainment, crafts, shopping, and food. Children can sled in real snow, ride a train, and even make crafts in Santa’s Workshop. AVTA’s Stuff-A-Bus Campaign will give you a chance to donate to those in the community. This campaign’s goal is to stuff a school bus with toys for children. Come out on Saturday and experience this magical event. Once again, another fantastic way to interact with the community in charity.

On Saturday, December 17th the Sgt. Steve Owen Memorial Park, formerly known as Lancaster City Park, will be hosting Breakfast with Santa. This adventure allows children and adults to make crafts, eat pancakes, and meet St. Nicolas. You must purchase tickets ahead of time in order to attend. Come on, you know you want to make crafts and take pictures with Santa.

Throughout December, you can meet Santa at the AV Mall. Children can inform Santa of their Christmas wishes and pose for a picture with him. This affair will take place in the Center Court. Do not skip this annual experience.

There is something for everyone this holiday season. Taking part in one of these events is better than watching the same show on Netflix for the tenth time. You can donate to a charity, meet Santa, and partake in the holiday fun. Get out there and be involved in the festivities!
