Spirit Week
The Quartz Hill ASB has teamed up with the Ubiquity to help better promote our well-anticipated spirit days! Our school has done a great job coming up with creative and original days, but this week is definitely a cut above the rest. We hope our readers get inspired and participate in this upcoming spirit week.
Monday: Redneck day
As an homage to Quartz Hill High’s early years, the week is starting off with redneck day. Break out those camo pants and your green and black face paint because we are going huntin’ today! To earn extra spirit points for your class, bring in some game. Remember, the bigger, the better. During lunch, we will have a cook off in front of the large gym to see who can make the best roadkill cuisine.
Tuesday: Club Penguin Day
On Tuesday, we will be going back to our childhood days and honoring Club Penguin. Come in your best penguin costume, either plain or dressed up (like those kids who spent their mommy and daddy’s money on cool clothes and accessories while you could only go to the store and stare at the items while a single, lonely tear rolled down your face because you knew you could never own such sacred objects). You can reconnect with your first love whom you met on the site, adopt 53 puffles, and do more during this spirit day.
Wednesday: Tourist Day
Of course it would not be a Quartz Hill spirit week without tourist day shoved in there somewhere! Dress up as a 40 year old man going through his mid-life crisis who decided to grab his family and booked the first plane to anywhere “exotic.” Do not forget your fanny pack and hidden insecurities.`
Thursday: Scene Day
It is time to dig up your old My Chemical Romance t-shirt and Splot dye because we are going all the way back to the good ol’ days. There will be poetry readings during both lunches in the library. Make sure you bring the most fake deep lines you have ever written, or just recite a Twenty One Pilots song.
Friday: Existentialism Day
We are all going to die, so just do whatever you want. In the end, nothing matters.
As a bonus, we will give you a taste of the options for our next spirit week:
Meme Day: Dress up as you favorite dead meme
Dog Day: Just appreciate dogs, all dogs, of any shape and size.
And more to come!
