Valentine’s Day Horoscope Compatibility
February 14, 2019
Recently, horoscopes and the use of zodiac signs to determine personality traits, futures, and compatibility have stormed the internet. Astrology is based on the idea of “AS ABOVE, SO BELOW,” basically meaning that we, as humans, are not separate from the universe. Instead, astrologists believe it plays a large part in our everyday lives. According to the principles of astrology, human interaction corresponds with activity in the universe.
A birth chart, commonly known as a horoscope, is a map of the solar system at the exact moment you were born. Horoscopes are said to be a universal representation of your identity and potential. Some important components of a birth chart include your sun sign, expressing your dominant personality traits, your moon sign, representing your emotions and intuition, your ascendant, representing how others view you, and your Midheaven, exhibiting your possible life ambitions. Although there are many elements to birth charts, the most commonly known is the sun/star sign, also known as the zodiac. The twelve zodiac signs are used to determine your personality, future obligations, and, of course, compatibility. So, to site Valentine’s Day, I’ve decided to create a list of the most compatible signs, based on their stereotypical traits.
Aries (March 21 – April 19)
Aries are seen as the first sign of the zodiac. It is a fire sign represented by the bull. Aries are typically confident, impulsive, competitive, and self-centered on occasion. They are most compatible with Sagittarius because both enjoy the feeling of freedom, accomplishment, and adventure; however, relationships with other Aries, Leos, Geminis, and Aquarius have also been seen to carry great success.
Taurus (April 20 – May 20)
Taurus is an earth sign that, just like Aries, is represented by the bull. People with the Taurus sign are usually sensual, strong, creative, and reliable; however, they can be overly sensitive and stubborn at times. Taurus is compatible with the more sensitive signs, including Pisces and Cancers, along with fellow earth signs such as Virgos and Capricorns.
Gemini (May 21 – June 20)
Geminis are air signs, represented by twins. While Geminis are gentle, adaptable, and hold the ability to learn quickly, they can also be indecisive and superficial. Relationships between Geminis and Aquarius have shown great success due to their curiosity and independence. Libras and Geminis also make great pairs because both are friendly and social; however, they commonly share different emotional wiring. Geminis have also seen success in relationships with Aries, Sagittarius, and Leo.
Cancer (June 21 – July 22)
Represented by the crab, Cancer is a cardinal water sign. Cancers are compassionate, devoted, protective, and sometimes moody. Relationships between Scorpios and Cancers make for a rather romantic pairing because both signs are passionate and committed. Pisces and Cancers may also make a great pair; however, Cancers tend to take advantage of Pisces deep emotions and devotion. Cancers may also carry compatibility with Taurus and Virgo.
Leo (July 23 – August 22)
Leo is a fire sign represented by the lion. Leos are assertive, outgoing, dramatic, and egotistical, at times. They are also extremely compatible with Geminis, due to Gemini’s submissiveness and intelligence. They also make a great pair with Sagittarius due to their shared excitability and optimism. Lastly, while both signs are rather headstrong, Aries and Leo make a great pair because they share the same charismatic energy.
Virgo (August 23 – September 22)
The Earth sign, Virgo, is represented by a goddess of agriculture. Virgos are patient, practical, and known to be perfectionists, causing them to be rather judgemental on occasion. A Taurus is a great match for a Virgo due to their stable and soothing energy. Cancers are also compatible with Virgos because they are gentle and good listeners. Hard working signs, such as Capricorns, share great relations with Virgos because of their determination and drive.
Libra (September 23 – October 22)
Libra is an air sign represented by balancing scales. Libras commonly look to find harmony and equilibrium in all areas of their lives. They are loving, charming, indecisive, and occasionally lazy. Gemini and Aquarius are great partners for Libra because of their compassion and shared thought processes. Leo and Sagittarius also have the ability to harmonize with Libras, while still bringing fire and adventure into their life, making for an interesting, yet successful pair.
Scorpio (October 23 – November 21)
Scorpio, represented by, of course, the scorpion, is a water sign. Commonly mistaken for a fire sign, Scorpios are charismatic, manipulative, passionate, and brave. As they share the same sensitivity and intuition, Scorpios pair well with the fellow water signs of Pisces and Cancer. Virgo and Capricorn hold the ability to create stability in Scorpio’s life; therefore, making them viable romantic options for Scorpio, as well.
Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21)
The last fire sign of the constellation, Sagittarius, is represented by the archer. Sagittarius is blunt, sociable, optimistic, and adventurous. Aries and Leo share passion, enthusiasm, and similar goals, creating a rather harmonious pair; however air signs, Libra and Aquarius allow Sagittarius to look at things with more practicality, creating a stable pair.
Capricorn (December 22 – January 19)
Represented by a goat with a fish tail, Capricorn is the last Earth sign of the constellation. Capricorns are skillful, rigid, tenacious, and independent. Both Taurus and Virgo share Capricorn’s responsibility and materialism, making them rather safe pairings. On the other hand, more sensitive signs, like Pisces and Scorpio, allow Capricorn to open up and express needed emotion, creating a close and stable relationship.
Aquarius (January 20 – February 18)
Aquarius, represented by the water bearer, is the last air sign of the constellation. Aquarius is seen as original, uncompromising, and imaginative. This sign is very compatible with passionate fire signs such as Aries and Sagittarius, along with the fellow air signs, Gemini and Libra.
Pisces (February 18 – March 20)
The water sign, Pisces, is the last sign of the constellation. Depicted by two fish swimming, Pisces are seen as wistful, emotional, romantic, and imaginative. Pisces is typically compatible with other water signs, such as Cancers and Scorpios; however the hidden sensitivity of Taurus and Capricorn pairs well with the openly emotional Pisces.
