On October 17, Kourtney Kardashian confirmed her engagement over social media by posting photos of her and her new fiance, Travis Barker. The pictures show the two beside the ocean surrounded by roses and candles spread out into the shape of a heart. She captioned these photos “forever” and tagged Barker in the post. Barker had also posted a picture of the two of them on his social media. He also chose to caption the photo “forever” and tagged Kourtney. He proposed to her during sunset in Montecito, California. Montecito is one of California’s most famous and beautiful beaches, with celebrities like Ariana Grande, Megan Markle, and Oprah being occupants of this area. After the proposal, Barker had prepared a private dinner with their families and close friends. 

Only a few days after this special day, Kourtney shared a couple of sweet pictures from that night, along with the photos she wrote, “I woke up all night thinking it was a dream.” In the comments of that post, Barker had replied, “Forever with you is a dream come true.” This will be the first Kardashian wedding since Kim’s marriage to Kanye West in 2014. 

Almost a week later, Kourtney Kardashian’s soon-to-be husband metaphorically secured their love by getting a tattoo of her lips on his body. Eleven days after the engagement, Kardashian continued to post about that significant night. She had posted photos of a giant heart-shaped bouquet of roses, some pictures of her kids looking at the beautiful sunset on the beach, and a picture of her holding her hand in front of a rose in full bloom while displaying her large engagement ring. 

The engagement ring was admired by both Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian’s sisters. The ring was designed by celebrity jeweler Lorraine Schwartz, which is the family’s go-to jeweler. The value of the ring is estimated to be approximately one million dollars. According to many experts, they say that the ring is about 10 carats in size. The ring has a large diamond in the middle and is a long oval shape. This engagement ring style seems to be a design that has been popular recently, seeing that many other celebrities like Hailey Bieber and Blake Lively also wear very similar rings. It is a simple design, but it is still very stunning and delicate. 

The couple seems the happiest that they have ever been in this relationship. Both Kardashian and Barker have had multiple other relationships in their lives but not one ever like this. Kardashian had previously been involved with Scott Disick and now co-parents her three children Mason, Penelope, and Reign. She decided to separate from him due to his problems with addiction. She was not the only one that had a previous relationship. Barker has been married twice before, first to Melissa Kennedy and then Shanna Moakler. He is also a parent of three daughters, Alabama Barker, his son Landon Barker, and his stepdaughter Atiana De La Hoya. The two have known each other for quite some time but have only been together for a year. They first met in 2006, where their friendship began and then eventually turned into their fascinating relationship.
