Mexico’s “Alien”

Mexico’s “Alien”

In September 2023, two ‘alien corpses’ were identified in Mexico. Though the corpses may not truly be those of an alien, the mummified skeletons gained this name as they were found completely intact, and already ‘assembled.’ The skeletons are not believed to have come from a human body.

The corpses were put on display and officially unveiled in Mexico City after they were placed in a glass case at Mexico’s Congress. The skeletons themselves were not found in Mexico but rather in Cusco, Peru. These corpses are estimated to be around 1,000 years old. A UFO researcher by the name of Jaime Maussan presented to Mexican government officials and United States representatives that were present at Mexico’s Congress that these specimens were part of the “evolutionary history on Earth.” Many researchers believe that these corpses belong to some type of extraterrestrial force. They believe that it is highly unlikely for another form of intelligent life to exist on a different planet and look the same way that humans do.

However, there is much skepticism surrounding the discovery of these specimens. In previous years (2015), Maussan asserted  that he found another alien specimen that turned out to be the skeleton of a child. Again, in 2017, he made a similar claim when he found the bodies of three children that he believed were aliens. Many question his trustworthiness, and others flat out do not believe in life beyond Earth.

Maussan’s claims have raised much skepticism among the scientific community. With few of his previous claims being false, they are cautious in believing whether or not his discoveries should be trusted. Several scientists from the National Autonomous University of Mexico have claimed that they have not taken part in t Maussan’s research.’ Other scientists are accusing this study of being “shameful” due to its lack of thought and effort. With little to no evidence to back up his claims regarding extraterrestrial discoveries, Maussan has gained absurd amounts of criticism from others in his field that are calling his claims “made up.”

Backlash and skepticism have not stopped Jaime Maussan in his research. With little to no information from outside sources or other scientists, it is difficult to believe whether or not these corpses really do belong to some type of extraterrestrial creature. Only research and time will tell.

Hey guys! I’m Martina Brajanovska, and I’m finally a senior! It’s been a long journey getting here, but I’m very excited that we made it. The past four years have all blended into one giant reel of memories that I have made along the way; many that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I’ve made and lost friends along the way, gained skills and cried tears (many tears), but I would not take back a single second. As this final year begins, my anticipation grows and stress is settling in. Writing for The Ubiquity has given me the opportunity to freely express my thoughts on topics that intrigue me. I am sad to see my time as a staff writer and copy editor come to an end this year, but excited to begin a new chapter in my life.
