The NFL has always been an exciting spectacle to watch, not only because you only get to see your favorite team once a week, but also the rush, and the energy brought by the players, coaches, and fans attending the game. This has made the NFL by far the most popular sports league to watch in the United States. So with this season coming to a close, I wanted to put out a list of the top 5 teams with the greatest potential in the hunt for the Lombardi.
T1. Kansas City Chiefs
The Kansas City Chiefs have had an amazing season so far, garnering 12 wins paired with only a single loss. Star quarterback Patrick Mahomes has led this Chiefs offense to this astonishing record, throwing for over 3100 yards, 20 touchdowns, and an incredible 68% passing completion rate. The Kansas City powerhouse clinched their division, are playoff-bound, and are in the hunt for a 3-peat.
T1. Detroit Lions
The Detroit Lions are another team that has had a pretty successful season so far. They are tied with the Chiefs in wins, going 12-1. Despite not being so successful in past seasons, the Lions have risen to the top, with superstars like quarterback Jared Goff and running back Jamyr Gibbs leading the team. The Lions have clinched a wild card spot and are now bound for the playoffs.
T3 Philadelphia Eagles
The Philadelphia Eagles, despite starting the season off 1-2, have managed to turn this record around, going undefeated since week 4. With a booming defense, they have an incredible 37 sacks and are sure to become a defensive powerhouse in the postseason.
T3 Minnesota Vikings
The Minnesota Vikings started this season strong, going undefeated in the first five games and only losing twice since then. Despite being #2 in their division, only behind the Lions, they still have one of the best records in the NFL. With stars like wide receiver Justin Jefferson, who has over 70 receptions for 1170 yards, they have a recipe for success in the coming years.
T5. Pittsburgh Steelers
In recent years, the Pittsburgh Steelers have always been a playoff-caliber team, and this year is no different. The Steelers have had a great season, going 10-3. With star players like quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Justin Fields, Linebacker T.J. Watt, running back Najee Harris, and wide receiver George Pickens, the Steelers have had an explosive season both defensively and offensively, with T.J. Watt being one of the best linebackers in the league, leading in forced fumbles and hits. Both Russell Wilson and Justin Fields are excellent quarterbacks, and with George Pickens and Najee Harris, the Steelers offense is a great one.
T5. Buffalo Bills
The Buffalo Bills have had an excellent season so far, as they have clinched their division by going 10-3. Though they lost to the LA Rams on December 8th 42-44, they still put up an amazing game, with top 10 quarterback Josh Allen putting up over 300 passing yards for three touchdowns, with no interceptions. Allen also had an amazing rushing game, rushing for over 80 yards for an additional three touchdowns. This game alone stands out because this shows how the Bills can put up a fight, and despite losing, they had an amazing game.

This Ray Lewis quote is a great example of the NFL players’ mindset, and how every player puts in 100% effort. When all players on a team are putting in 100% effort, the results show with their records and determination to win games.
