Arcane is a top-rated show on Netflix based on the League of Legends game that came out in November 2021. Just in case the title didn’t give it away already, this article will have many spoilers for Arcane season 2. The 3rd act of Arcane is set to come out on Saturday, November 30th, and will be the final installment of Arcane, as there is confirmed not to be a season three.
Edward Alfaro, a student of Quartz Hill, has been a longtime fan of Arcane. When asked what he thought of season 2, he responded, “It was pretty good; it was exactly what I hoped it would be.” He likely shares this sentiment with many of the show’s fans.
I myself have been watching Arcane ever since it came out, so when season two was announced, I was notably excited. Arcane has been my favorite show for years, and the newest season did not disappoint.
Act 1 was amazing and jam-packed with so many things that I rewatched it multiple times while waiting for Act 2 to come out. If you thought that season one was good, then season two will raise your expectations tenfold. They introduce multiple different animation styles, which are all well done.
Along with the new animation styles, Arcane also introduces new characters. My favorite of them all is obviously Isha, as she is so adorable, and it’s cute how she slowly gets closer to Jinx and forms a sisterly bond with her. Based on their interactions throughout the series, I am more inclined to call their dynamic a mother-daughter one. I refuse to acknowledge the end of episode six; Isha sacrificing herself made me bawl for hours. I will be feeding my delusions that Isha survived until Act 3 releases, when I can no longer deny it.
Now, for my predictions. Assuming Isha did die, which I strongly hope she didn’t, Jinx will likely be going crazy. I think Vi and Caitlyn will have a more in-depth talk, make up, maybe kiss again, and return to their old dynamic–whatever it can be called. I’d assume that Viktor will somehow come back to life, seeing as he is a character in League of Legends, and we will most likely find out why Jayce did what he did. I’m assuming we will also get some scenes of Mel possibly escaping the weird prison she was put in? Maybe Ambessa will find her, but I can’t tell at this rate.
Overall, season two so far has been fantastic. I know I didn’t discuss much about the season, but the character development and how they introduce their characters’ lore and backstories are stunning. Act 3 will be coming out on November 23rd, so I can’t wait to see how they end the story of Vi and Jinx!
