Wake Up to Senior Sunrise

Last Friday, August 26, while many of us were still in bed, many seniors got up bright and early to celebrate the start of their final year of high school. Senior Sunrise is an annual event hosted by ASB, which admittedly does not take much planning but is still one of the favorite events for seniors throughout the year. This occasion was another yearly success and it allowed our Rebels to kick off their school years right.

At the event, students lined the bleachers of the football stadium in order to watch the sunrise. Posters lined the fences, and seniors signed a huge banner that will be used in an upcoming assembly. The snack bar was also open for seniors to purchase food if they did not already get it elsewhere.

Also, as part of a tradition, most of the seniors got together with their friends and made matching tie-dye shirts for the event. With the sea of color in the stands, this occasion was truly the epitome of our enormous school spirit.

The students in ASB worked hard to make sure that the seniors could enjoy themselves. Even though the people in charge of this event were seniors themselves, many juniors, sophomores, and freshmen held different jobs at the sunrise.

Angela Zhang, a junior in ASB explained, “ASB works the food, hands out beads, makes posters, and does whatever to buying ultram online.” Another representative said that they also added a photo booth this year. The music playlist was a big hit for many seniors as they hung out with their friends as the sun rose.

Although many of these jobs are very important to keep the function running smoothly, many ASB representatives said that their most important job was to keep the seniors happy.

Many seniors that were at this event were excited to embark on their senior year. In fact, on a scale of one to ten, some seniors thought it was an eleven. A majority of the students also thought that Senior Sunrise was a great way to start off a year full of modafinil online and activities they will experience throughout their final stretch of high school.

Jazlene Marshall said, “ I’m most looking forward to sports and finally getting back into wrestling, but I might try something new for this year.”

This Senior Sunrise was an extremely enjoyable event for those who attended, but it also marks the beginning of the end for the class of 2017 at Quartz Hill.
