My name is Flomina Makar, I am a senior and this is my first time taking journalism, I am very interested in the class because the idea of writing that people can read and being creative caught my attention, I intend to write articles that are news related while trying to be as unbiased as possible. I recently immigrated here so this is my first year in QHHS. I used to play the guitar but right now I barely have any free time. I am also bilingual. I speak Arabic and English and I am in the process of learning French. I enjoy listening to music while working. I went to Catholic school back home and it was a great experience, it also played an important role in helping me develop a sense of responsibility and maturity from a young age. I plan on doing my best in this class as well as trying to learn from peers. I plan on pursuing medicine as a postgraduate degree.
