“I did it. I made America great again.” Trump leans back in his chair with a smirk on his face. He swells with pride while reflecting over his accomplishments from the previous year. He thinks back to the election and all of the struggles he endured while fighting for the favor of the people.  “I sure showed all of them stinking liberals, huh, Paul?”

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Paul Ryan, emerges out of the darkness. “You sure did… Mr. President,” Ryan said as a tear dramatically trickled from his eye. “You… really changed America for the better.”

Trump smiles with approval. “Good boy. Now run along and get the immigrants out of my country!” He throws a dog treat at the Speaker of the House and fills the Oval Office with his grand laughter as the treat hits Ryan’s face. Paul Ryan turns around and, with his head held down in shame, leaves the Oval Office.

Trump stands up out of his seat and looks out the windows of the Oval Office. The sun is setting, and the sky is filled with the bright, fiery orange that is his skin. On the horizon, he notices his beloved friend Vladimir Putin magnificently looking off into the sunset. He is yet again shirtless and riding a bear. He turns around and stares back into Trump’s deep, teal blue eyes. Trump erupts with emotions he thought were lost to him. He pours out tears of joy, knowing that he would have never gotten to where he is now without the help of his dearest friend. He is overwhelmed with flashbacks of the countless nights he spent up with Putin. He remembers the endless hours spent plotting on how to take control of America. Trump blushes and puts his hand on the window of the Oval Office and mouths the words, “Thank… you.” Putin smirks and knowingly waves his muscular hand, “Goodbye, my friend.” Putin looks back at the sunset, the night’s hand laying on its shoulder. Then, he vanishes to a place far away from here.

“I promise you this, Vladimir,” swears Trump, who is sobbing at this point, “I will not put this presidency that you have gifted me to waste. I will use everything you taught me to make this country the way it should be. I will follow in your footsteps and make this country respectable again.” He falls to his knees, his wails exploding throughout the White House. Lying down in the fetal position, Trump whispers, “I made my mark, Putin… and this year, I will make America even better…for you.”
