Jake Paul vs. Nate Robinson fight
December 18, 2020
Jake Paul is a YouTube influencer with over 20 million subscribers, and, on August 31, 2018, he entered the boxing world. He fought Oladeji Daniel Olatunji, otherwise known as Deji, a fellow influencer, on that day and won. On the same day, Logan Paul and Olajide William Olatunji, otherwise known as KSI, fought in a boxing match that ended in a tie. After Paul’s win, the YouTuber began boxing professionally for a living and is very serious about it.
In May, Nate Robinson, a former NBA player, called Jake Paul out, which sparked interest in a boxing match between them. In an interview, Robinson said that he was confident that he could beat Paul since he was great at playing multiple sports. They both agreed to the fight, and it was scheduled for November 28th. They then began training and preparing for the big day months beforehand, mostly since this fight was the first for Robinson.
When November 28th came, it was time to see the showdown between Jake Paul and Nate Robinson. Their fight was on the undercard of the highly anticipated Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr. fight. In the first round, Robinson had an energetic start and was swinging at Paul nonstop. Paul, being more experienced, calculated his attacks, and was able to knock Robinson down twice. Every time Robinson got knocked down, he got back up. The first round ended with some good hits, but now it was time for the second round. Jake Paul began getting hits on Robinson, and the final blow knocked out Robinson, leaving him unable to get back up and in need of needed medical attention. In the end, Jake Paul was victorious and was able to win his second professional boxing match.
After the match, Paul was asked who he would want to fight next, and he said that UFC fighter Connor McGregor is someone he is interested in boxing against. There has also been speculation that he could potentially fight his brother Logan Paul, MMA fighter Dillian Danis, or KSI next. We just have to wait and see who Jake Paul decides to fight and win against next.
