The Internet’s “Biggest A-Hole”

Emory Andrew Tate III, or Andrew Tate, may just go down in history as the most misogynistic man known to the human race. I would like to clarify that this article is my opinion of Andrew Tate and a timeline of only a few things the martial artist has done since 2012.

Andrew Tate is a former professional kickboxer and current social media influencer. He formerly ran an online course in “modern wealth creation” named “Hustler’s University,” this course being what helped boost his fast-rising fame on social media.

Andrew Tate encouraged members of Hustler’s University to post videos and photos of him on social platforms to attract more members to the course. Many of these videos went viral, earning Tate the title “The Internet’s Biggest A-Hole.”

Andrew’s first run-in with fame and media was when he was removed from the show “Big Brother” in 2016 after a video from 2012 was released of him attacking his ex-girlfriend with a belt. Tate later posted a statement on Facebook, stating that the woman in the video had consented to this, saying it was “role-play.” He even stated that the belt he was using was a fake and that he made the noise, not inflicting any type of pain on the woman.

Blindly, people forgot about this incident until the Harvey Weinstein scandal in 2017.

Tate shared his opinion on what he felt was harassment. He tweeted, “Sexual harassment is disgusting and inexcusable. However, a man looking at you, whistling, or asking your name isn’t harassment.” He added, “Women have been exchanging sex for the opportunity for a very long time… If you put yourself in a position to be raped, you must bare some responsibility.”

As if that tweet wasn’t enough to prove this man should not have a social platform, maybe his statement about his move to Romania will.

In a now-deleted YouTube video on Tate’s now-deleted Youtube channel, he stated that he moved to Romania because of their lax laws on sexual assault. He said it was “40% of the reason” as to why he moved. He said his move was partly motivated because the police would be less likely to investigate sexual assault allegations against him.

Tate refers to himself as a feminist; however, his views on women are entirely misogynistic. When interviewed on the BFFs Podcast with Dave Portnoy, Tate admitted that the kind of girl who sees herself as equal to a man is the exact kind of girl he would never give the time of day to. On the same podcast, Andrew compares women to dogs, saying, “You can’t be responsible for something that doesn’t listen to you. You can’t be responsible for a dog if it doesn’t obey you, or a child if it doesn’t obey you, or a woman that doesn’t obey you.”

Tate has said many disgusting things during his interviews, but the one that disturbs me the most is why he prefers 18 and 19-year-old girls instead of more age-appropriate women. During a podcast with Hasan Abi, Tate stated, “The reason 18 and 19-year-olds are more attractive than 25-year-olds is cause they’ve been through less [men].”

The list of Andrew Tate’s scandals continues to grow, but Instagram and TikTok are taking the title of “Top G” away from the 35-year-old and banning his social media accounts for good. Maybe this will keep his voice away from fame. One could only hope.
