Originally released on the Wii, Nintendo announced that “Kirby’s Return to Dream Land” would get a remake on February 24, 2023, as “Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe” on the Nintendo Switch. The remake is a part of the 30th-anniversary celebration of the Kirby series. The game will include new features to add to the original game. The trailer included both single-player and multiplayer perspectives of the game so that you can play alone or with your friends. 

Kirby and his friends go on an adventure to help an alien that crashed on Planet Popster return home. “Return to Dream Land” includes many of Kirby’s familiar copy abilities, such as the sword and parasol, and some new addition Mecha and Sand abilities. Mecha is an ability that allows Kirby to gain a mecha suit decked with lasers, rockets, and powerful punches. The Sand ability lets Kirby manipulate sand to attack his enemies with it. He can shoot sand waves and use an arm made of sand. 

“Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe” will also be able to support four players in co-op mode. Each player has a different shade of Kirby. Co-op players can also choose King Dedede, Meta Knight, or Bandana Waddle Dee as their characters. To make your team even more powerful, you can combine the other players’ powers by riding piggyback and stacking together. Players can discover many different combos and take on super abilities by inhaling glowing enemies.

Brand new mini-games have been released in the game, too. At Merry Magoland, you can enjoy all kinds of subgames to collect stamps for your stamp rally and earn in-game rewards. You may also play the subgames in co-op with three other players on the same system. The Souvenir Shop Waddle Dee will allow you to dress up your character with exciting masks inspired by the Kirby series.

The objective is to find the missing pieces of Magolor the alien’s ship to send him back home. Players will help Magolor rebuild his ship with Kirby’s new features and additions in the game, including his Mecha and Sand copy abilities. Adventure alone or with friends in “Kirby Return to Dream Land Deluxe.”

“Kirby Returns to Dream Land Deluxe” is already up for preorder and will officially release on February 24, 2023, on the Nintendo Switch.
