Felicia Lyons, Staff Writer
Self-actualization. The Oxford dictionary describes “self-actualization” as, “the realization or fulfillment of one’s talents and potentialities, especially considered as a drive or need present in everyone.” It doesn’t take a genius to see that I am not a brilliant writer. But the part of journalism that speaks to me the most, is multimedia. I am very intrigued by the multimedia department. When I find a deep interest in something, I work so hard to reach my goals. I hyper-focus on the interest until I perfect it.
This will be my junior year in high school, and my first year in Honors Journalism. Over summer, I was unsure if I was going to take this class to be honest, I am not a morning person, and this class is held during 0 period! But, my friends convinced me to, and I am grateful, as this class seems very interesting. I am excited to see my growth in writing and production throughout the year, and hopefully my senior year as well.
