Hey royals! My name is Kairi Sargent, and I am a junior at Quartz Hill High School. This is my first year in journalism. I joined because I love to write, and I want to spend my junior year connecting with you all and making a positive impact on the Royals. I love to cheer, read, bake, and do many other activities. I love to spend time with family and friends. I also enjoy listening to music. Some of my favorite artists are Drake, PartyNextDoor, Frank Ocean, and The Marias. One of my hobbies that I like to participate in is fitness. I’d like to share more of this with the Royals community!

February 4, 2026 Update

Hey Royals! I’m Kairi Sargent, and I’m currently in my second semester of junior year. This is also my second semester in journalism honors! I enjoy hobbies like reading and baking. I really enjoyed writing news articles about so many different topics and expanding my knowledge and journalism skills. Along with reading and baking, I love to listen to music. There are so many different genres that I like to listen to. I share these interests with my family and friends whenever I get the chance, and with journalism, I can share them with the Royal community also. I’m excited to continue writing and see what we can produce in journalism!
