Ola Elmahdi, Opinion Editor
I’m Ola Elmahdi, a young, less than energetic editor of the Ubiquity. My favorite article from the Ubiquity is probably “Modesty: Not Always a Virtue” by Melissa Canales. I’m a prideful person, so I agree with Canales that people should be allowed to receive compliments gracefully and confidently. I’m proud of my competence in linguistic fields — I speak English, Arabic, Spanish, and French. I can also read Korean, although I don’t quite understand it! My Afro-Arab ethnicity left me with a confusing idea of my identity, but I’ve almost figured out who I am. I try my best to acknowledge my flaws so I can eradicate them; my greatest mission in life is improvement.
