Evelyn Traxler, Copy Editor
Hey Royals! I’m Evelyn, and I’m back for a third year of journalism! This year, I’m taking on the role of copy editor as well as continuing to write for the Arts & Entertainment category of Ubiquity!
If you’ve read any articles in the newspaper or on the Ubiquity, you would know I’m not new to writing, but that’s not the only thing I like doing in my free time. I enjoy analyzing films as well as making them. With my experience so far in the film academy and journalism, I have been able to combine these skills and have been getting better at writing, analyzing, and sharing different sides of films that people don’t always think about when watching TV or movies. Other than that, I love reading and trying out new hobbies all the time!
Recently, I’ve been diving into music. For the past year now I’ve been trying to improve my skills as a drummer and work with my band Hotline Valley. Starting this school year, I’ve joined a ton of new classes that I hope I can learn from and have fun in. The class I’m most excited for, though, is Choir! I’m so excited to start this class and learn and grow my voice with friends and an inspiring new teacher.
I hope to write and continue to grow my skills throughout this year, and I hope you can join me by reading articles and viewing the bulletins on the website. Let’s rule this year together!
