Jowail Mbarkeh, Staff Writer
Hello readers! My name is Jowail Mbarkeh, and I’m a senior at QHHS. This is my first year on the Ubiquity staff, and I'm already amazed at all the work everyone puts in to get content out to QHHS students. I have changed my mind quite a few times concerning which department I am interested in the most. I thought my issue would be that I have nothing to write about, but it turns out that once you get an opportunity to share your thoughts with people, you just can’t decide! So far, I’ve written a humor article and an opinion article and worked on multimedia content. Although, at the time I’m writing this, you probably haven’t had a chance to see or read anything yet. I hope to make some sort of impact on QHHS students through my writing, no matter how small.
You now know some stuff about me as a Ubiquity staff member but not much about me. Most of my time is taken up by performing arts and creating content (designing stuff, not social media), whether it’s playing flute in the AVC symphonic band, designing flyers and posters for clubs around campus, or participating in local and school plays. I take a lot of challenging classes, and of course, that also takes up a lot of time and effort, but I believe finding time for the things you love is important, too. The only advice I can give anyone is to go for it. Whatever you want to do, there will be obstacles, and you need to find a way. There is always another path to take to get where you want to be, and it looks different for everyone.Â
Thanks for taking the time to read this, and you should also read our articles while you’re at it! Have a wonderful day!
