The Ubiquity

Sara Davis, Staff Writer

Hello lovely people! My name is Sara Davis, I am a junior at Quartz Hill High School, and this is my first year as a member of The Ubiquity staff. I am super excited to contribute. I hope to be able to encourage curiosity and fun through my pieces. I also hope to read many exquisite pieces crafted by my peers.

Putting journalism aside, I love acting, tacos, sci-fi novels, Gordon Ramsay, and reality TV. I am in ten classes right now and am a part of the cabinet for three different clubs. The list of things I am doing right now goes on and on. I am a busy person, and I enjoy it (typically).

12.3.21 Update

Hey all, back again. Just a little check-in. I have been crazy busy this semester. It feels great to be back in person with everyone again after quarantine. Life is wild, and I have a new philosophy on it, “Life is like a massive mural in the middle of a crowded city that you just can’t help but stare at in awe.”

Recently, I have been involved in many productions, whether those be plays or short films. I also have taken on being a rock band manager, and I love it. The band is named Save Sara. But that is a story for another time. I have also started constructing a play that the QHHS’s Guild Theatre Club/Theatre Production class will perform in the summertime. It will be an adventure for everyone who goes to see it. I will be co-directing it and making a cameo. I have been in three plays during this semester. I am stage-managing, acting, and heading the light crew in this upcoming play at QHHS. Soccer season has concluded, and we won second place in the state. We lost the championship to a shoot-out because they did not do overtime. It hurt, but I am proud of what we achieved. We will probably reunite in January and conquer once again. I am back into yoga and trying to get my teaching certification right now. I love it. Swimming is an old passion that I am bringing back into my life. And I am doing all this while I still have ten classes.

Anyways, my life is wild, but I am having a lot of fun with all of my new friends that I am experiencing life alongside. I hope you can see my work outside of Ubiquity one day.

My advice is: Branch out, actually live life. You won’t regret it.

P.S. I still love tacos.
