Hello, my name is Jayleen Obregon, and I am a new member of The Ubiquity. This is my first year joining journalism, and I am thrilled to see what is in store for this year. I am currently a sophomore and an honors student, but occasionally I like to challenge myself by taking AP classes. I am also an athlete, and some of the sports I play are soccer and cross country. Sadly, this year I could not participate in QHHS’s cross country team because I am a busy person, as are my parents, so I had no time for it. But there’s always next year. I did, however, play soccer for Quartz Hill’s soccer team during my freshman year, and I am hoping to make it on the team once again this year. I don’t do much outside of school but play soccer for my club team, Albion, and spend time with friends and family. I would love to join many clubs in the school, especially now that we’re in-person learning. Overall, I hope to become more involved with school and take advantage of being in person.
