Syed Islam, Copy Editor
Hi Royals! I am a senior, and this is my fourth and final year on The Ubiquity staff. Being my second year as an editor, I look forward to seeing what articles our team will produce this year. When I write, I usually write for the Arts & Entertainment section since I am an avid Netflix binge-watcher.
Besides being a busy International Baccalaureate candidate and AP scholar, I play as a QHHS varsity tennis player. I am also the president and vice-president of clubs such as the Multicultural Club, Art History Club, and National Honor Society (NHS). I hope to continue putting my best foot forward, as I have in my previous years, by producing quality articles for the school newspaper.
January 30, 2023 Update
Hi Royals! Since my last update, things have been hectic. As a senior, I’ve been completing my college applications and even got some decisions back. By now, I’ve finished all my applications, but I still have scholarships to complete. Besides schoolwork, I’ve been spending time with my friends and just relaxing this year. After taking numerous AP and IB classes for three years, I decided to relax this senior year. I’ve been watching movies like “Puss in Boots: The Last Wish” (a must-watch) and “Avatar: The Way of Water.”
Since it is also spring season for athletics, I have been practicing tennis with some of my friends at the park. This year will be interesting because of the new schedule change that was enacted.
Despite everything, I am still excited about writing for the Ubiquity and will continue to publish quality articles for the Arts and Entertainment department.
