The Ubiquity

Hello Royals!, my name is Syed Islam, and I am currently a Junior attending Quartz Hill High School. This is my third year being a part of the Ubiquity staff, and I could not be more excited to return to in-person learning. It’s been a whole year and a half since I have stepped into the Journalism room, and it feels so refreshing to meet with the other writers for the newspaper once again. I am still writing for Arts & Entertainment this year, and I hope to continue to produce exciting articles for everyone to read. Outside of Journalism, I am a member of the IB Program. I also enjoy sports such as basketball and tennis. I hope to continue improving my writing skills and grow a greater passion for writing articles. I can’t wait to write articles once again for the Ubiquity!

4.29.22 Update

Hi Royals! These past few months have been extremely chaotic! First, we had Culturefest, SATs, mock AP exams, extensive IB unit exams, and even IB internal assessments. Despite the busy past few months, I made sure to try my best in all my schoolwork.

AP exams are approaching soon, and I am very stressed about many of my exams; however, being stressed is not going to help my score improve. I am also studying to improve my SAT because my college applications also start next year.

My time in Journalism from my Freshman year has been an incredible journey. I look forward to my senior year in Journalism, but I most certainly will miss waking up early to show up in class to study for my quiz next period or even discuss the news with other students. Time has been flying very fast.
