The Ubiquity

Hello Royals!, my name is Syed Islam, and I am currently a Junior attending Quartz Hill High School. This is my third year being a part of the Ubiquity staff, and I could not be more excited to return to in-person learning. It’s been a whole year and a half since I have stepped into the Journalism room, and it feels so refreshing to meet with the other writers for the newspaper once again. I am still writing for Arts & Entertainment this year, and I hope to continue to produce exciting articles for everyone to read. Outside of Journalism, I am a member of the IB Program. I also enjoy sports such as basketball and tennis. I hope to continue improving my writing skills and grow a greater passion for writing articles. I can’t wait to write articles once again for the Ubiquity!

12.3.21 Update

Hey Royals! I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving break. The first semester of our first year back from virtual school is nearing its end very soon. Looking back, this semester was filled with many new activities and changes. Many students were afraid of returning to school due to how different it would be from a typical school year, but this year was a blast like the past years without COVID. I am quite excited about next semester, but I am afraid that the new Omicron variant of COVID-19 could affect how things play out next semester. However, before we start thinking about the next semester, we all have to get through our finals. I am quite busy during this time due to studying for finals. As a junior, I also have to take the SAT this year. Thus, I need to prepare for that as well. This year will most definitely be a busy one. I hope everyone gets through this semester with spectacular grades and enjoys their Winter Break to the fullest!

Till next time, Royals!
