Preslee Adams, Staff Writer
Hi! My name is Preslee Adams, and this is my second year in journalism. I am filled with excitement for this upcoming school year and cannot wait to grow my skills as a writer. I look forward to becoming a stronger student and acquiring new, unexpected talents that I can translate into other classes. I have been on the Quartz Hill Cheer team for four years and am a varsity cheerleading captain. I also enjoy reading books in my free time. Along with school, I am currently applying to many colleges and working on scholarships, so I have a tight schedule! Senior year will be stressful, but I am so thrilled to be back on campus.
4.29.22 Update
As I approach the end of my senior year, I cannot deny that I am filled with senioritis; however, there is still so much to look forward to in this last month of high school. Activities like grad nite and senior sunset are some of the last activities we have left before graduation. The most exciting part of my senior year thus far was committing to the University of California, Los Angeles. I aspired to attend UCLA as a child, so it is thrilling to fulfill such a lifelong dream. And just like every other senior, I am more than ready to graduate. I am incredibly excited because my little sister, who lives in Georgia, will be flying out to spend the summer with me. It is surreal that we will be graduating high school in just a month! This time in our lives is something that we dream about for years, and it has finally come. I am eager to make the most out of the rest of the days I have left before leaving for college!
