Brandon Kim, Multimedia Editor
Hi, I’m Brandon. I’m the Multimedia editor of The Ubiquity, and my general role is to manage what goes on behind the scenes regarding article images. Essentially, the members of my department and I ensure that every article you read has a corresponding image, picture, or drawing. This is my fourth year writing and drawing for The Ubiquity and my third year as a Multimedia editor. It’s a breath of fresh air to be back in school after quarantine, and I think it’ll be interesting to see if schools will end up shutting down again. Either way, I hope you–as readers–enjoy the articles and images we produce this year!
4.29.22 Update
As a senior in high school, this is my fourth and final year in Journalism. Though I find it a little emotional to be leaving, I feel that I’ve done my part to contribute to the school newspaper. As an image editor, I created an arsenal of drawings over the years to catch readers’ attention to seriously look into the articles of my peers. Over-hearing students and teachers praising my drawings whenever physical copies of the newspaper were passed out was everything that I could ask for as an artist, and I’m incredibly grateful that many people took the time to appreciate them.Â
Outside of my life in high school, I’ve committed to attending UCLA and am majoring in economics. Drawing will continue to be a hobby of mine that I use to escape my thoughts, but I hope to put it to real use someday in a career since it is the one habit I passionately enjoy. To everyone on the Ubiquity staff, from Mrs. Martinez to the editors to the writers, thank you for a great senior year!
